This was an intense filmmaking experience, the heat and humidity of the set made it even more difficult. The location was in the old Verkade factory building in Zaandam. It was a really good location for a horror film.

I was there as the 2nd AC, my main tasks were to support the DOP and 1AC. But additionally I was also the DIT and Sound Assistant. As a 2AC I mainly swapped batteries and lenses. I also assisted the 1AC in solving signal interference issues with the wireless video transmitters, it was interfering with the wireless microphones the sound recordist brought with him.

Since we were 28 people on this filmset, a lot of the extra assistants, there was a lot of outstanding tasks we could help with, that’s why I also boomed audio for some scenes which made the sound recordist very happy!
